Description
Provides constant viscosity used by many 2005 and later vehicles, many imports and some earlier domestic vehicles.
Specifications, Approvals and Recommendations:
Ford Approved: Mercon LV
GM Approved: Dexron VI
JASO: 1-A
Can be used in all applications calling for GM Dexron VI and all earlier GM ATF passenger car requirements.
All requirements using Ford Mercon LV
Chrysler AS 68 RC ATF
JASO 1-A for most Japanese and Asian automatic transmissions service fill (except CVT and DCT) and where ATF is specified such as power steering systems, some manual transmissions and some transfer cases.
Service fill for all Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Suzuki, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia ATF needs except the 8 speed SPH-IV RR applications.
Isuzu ATF requirements.
European vehicles using Aisin Warner, General Motors/Allison and Hyundai transmissions, Volvo, Mini, some BMW, Saab, some Porsche, some Fiat, some Jaguar/Land Rover.
Mercedes-Benz applications using ATFs as listed in 236.1 through 236.10.
Note: Should not be used where Type F ATF is recommended (Datsun/Nissan pre 1971, Lincoln pre 1978, Ford/Mercury pre 1981, Toyota pre 1983, Volvo pre 1985, Mazda pre 1986, Saab pre 1993).
Should not be used in Continuous Variable Transmissions (CVTs) or Double Clutch Transmissions (DCTs).
Not recommended for Hyundai SPH-IV RR, Chrysler ZF 8 and 9 speed ATF, other ZF 8 and 9-speed ATFs (in a number of European cars), newer Daimler transmissions (ATF 134 or MB Approval 236.12, 236.14, 236.15 or 236.16) and other specialty transmissions where a very low viscosity ATF is recommended.
